Tours of the house and grounds are conducted by National Park Service Rangers. There is an admission fee for the site. The cost to maintain the NPS sites in the Hyde Park area which include President Roosevelt's home, Mrs. Roosevelt's home (where she resided after the Presidents death) the Vanderbilt mansion and grounds runs about $1,000,000 per year. Only part of that cost is covered by the admission fees with the rest coming from the park service.
