We just got back from our vacation in Maine . The highlight of the trip was a visit to the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport .

We took a 1.5 mile trolley ride, listened to all the history and toured all the displays. They clam to be the oldest and largest museum of public transportation and after touring the site I can believe them. They have four barns full of trolleys, a parts warehouse, a restoration shop, and piles of other stuff all over the place.

I was disappointing that restoration shop was viewed from the observation deck, not from below so you could talk to them. It’s less than 2hrs from Waltham and will worth the trip. If you plan to go check their web site for special events.
