American Truck Historical Society
Nutmeg Chapter Meet
Brooklyn Fairgrounds, Brooklyn CT
24 June 2012
Photo Slide Show HERE
This show is on the same day as the Van Brocklin meet at Waushakum Live Steamers in Holliston, MA. Last year I stopped here on the way home from the train track only to discover that quite a few exhibitors had left or were in the act of leaving. This year I stopped in Brooklyn on the way to Holliston and got to see the full show. Good idea!

When we got to the track it was suspiciously quiet. After a while I learned that the club had suffered an engineering casualty of major proportions. A large sprocket in the transfer table mechanism had failed making it impossible to get large locomotives out of the storage barns and onto the steaming bays. The only large loco running was the blue diesel wearing Charlton markings. It is stored at ground level making the transfer table unnecessary. A replacement sprocket has been ordered and the repair will be made but that didn't help for the meet day. Well, sometimes things happen that can't be predicted.
If you see your exhibit or machine and would care to drop me a line or two, or even a paragraph, about it I will be delighted to add your comments to this page. Please sent to webmaster@neme-s.org To identify a photo just hover your cursor over the photo and a tag should pop up. Please use the last three digits of the tag to identify the photo. For example if the tag came up DSC03974.jpg (205067 bytes) the info I would need is 976.jpg. If this is a multi page unit the page number would also be useful.
